The latest UMI RM 35-02 All Black features the unmistakable tonneau-shaped architecture of the RM 35-02 finished in an aggressive monochromatic colorway. The lightweight case is constructed from layered NTPT-style carbon composite, producing the distinctive carbon pattern across the bezel, case body, and caseback.
The fully skeletonized black dial exposes the mechanical architecture beneath, allowing the bridges, gears, balance assembly, and automatic winding system to become an integral part of the design. Darkened components maintain the stealthy all-black appearance, while contrasting hour markers and skeletonized hands provide visibility without taking away from the openworked construction.
The major upgrade in this latest UMI generation is the Dandong RMAL1 free-sprung automatic super clone movement. Rather than using a conventional regulated movement hidden beneath decorative components, the RMAL1 features a genuine free-sprung balance architecture without a traditional regulator index, bringing the visible movement construction significantly closer to the original caliber.
Operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, the automatic RMAL1 movement provides approximately 55 hours of power reserve. Its extensively skeletonized construction remains visible from both the dial and caseback sides of the watch.
Sapphire crystals are fitted to the front and exhibition caseback, while a matching black rubber strap completes the monochromatic design.
